Data Throttling Complaints | Has Your Wireless Mobile or Cellphone Carrier Throttled Reduced or Slowed Your Data Download or Internet Connection Speed?

Do You Have A Data Throttling Complaint? If You Believe Your Data Download Speeds or Internet Connection Service Has Been Wrongly Throttled, Reduced or Slowed, Share Your Data Throttling Complaints With Others And Report Your Data Throttling Complaint To A Telephone Consumer Protection Attorney.

Have you been notified that your wireless data is being throttled?  Have you experienced slower connection speeds on an unlimited data plan (such as when streaming videos over Netflix or other streaming services, listening to music, using peer-to-peer file sharing programs, tethering data or using Amazon AWS or other cloud service providers).

A team of data throttling consumer protection attorneys and lawyers are investigating potential complaints being made by telephone customers and other data subscribers about their wireless, mobile, cell phone or internet data being throttled, reduced or slowed by their cell phone carrier or internet data provider.

Data throttling (also known as bandwidth throttling) generally refers to the practice whereby certain wireless, mobile and cell phone data providers reduce or slow (i.e., throttle) consumers’ data download or internet connection speeds when there is high demand, heavy or excessive data usage, congestion on their networks or when data usage reaches some pre-determined limit.  Throttling is often experienced by wireless, mobile and cell phone users with unlimited data plans, particularly high-data users, i.e., those heavy data users who use the most data or consume the most bandwidth on a network (for example, the top 5% of data users).

According to media reports, the FCC sent letters to various cell phone carriers requesting information about their data-throttling practices.

Consumer interest groups have suggested that plans marketed as high-speed unlimited data plans may be misleading and deceptive when the data usage is actually limited, especially when the data speed restrictions are not adequately disclosed or explained to the wireless data users.data throttling complaints

  • AT&T data throttling

  • C Spire data throttling

I have Net10 Unlimited Internet as my Cell Phone Service. In the past few months I have been throttled. I pay 50.00 a month and feel that is wrong. Unlimited should be Unlimited.

I have had virgin mobile since I got my first cell phone a few years ago and after 2 or 3 years of having this plan I was told that now all of a sudden my plan was changing. Once my data limit is reached my phone is basically unuseable and i have “unlimited” data.

USCellular has been throttling my service since April when I got my iPhone. I am on an unlimited data plan and have called them numerous times to complain about not being able to access my bank account, insurance sites, my mortgage company website, or social media sites. It’s very frustrating to pay for a service that I can’t use two weeks out of the month! The first two times I complained to USCellular, they removed the throttle. Now they say they can’t do anything to help me. I’ve been with USCellular for 15 years but I am over this!!!

Virgin(Sprint) throttles, claiming it is to manage congestion. But if you call them on it they try to upsell you to a higher cost plan with a higher fee, or tell you that if the slow speed is a problem, you can reset your monthly plan (PAY…MORE…MONEY). This ain’t about management, kids. It’s about CASH. If it was about usage, you couln’t buy your way around it.

I have page plus cellular I paid for unlimited talk text and data plan. They said it’ll be unlimited but after 5gb they throttled me. So now my internet is at it’s slowest I can’t download anything, watch anything, or barely surf. She tried to get me to pay another 70 dollars to get 7gb when it’s supposed to be unlimited.

I have had virgin mobile for several years and all of a sudden they two months ago after the FCC was overturned in court they started to throttle me and were brazen enough to send me e-mails of their position I know that the case has been overturned in a new ruling where the Federal Communications Commission Net Neutrality Rules were reinforced. They are now in violation of the law and I have already been filing complaints so that the FCC and FTC could act on all complaints and sue them like AT&T 100 million fine and Sprints 158 million. I encourage all of you that are being throttled to do the same.
